General Education Development (GED)
What is the GED test?
The GED test measures a student's educational level in four core subjects in a computer based assessment. A student who successfully obtains the GED test credential has displayed the same general level of academic achievement as the typical student who graduated from high school. Most employers and colleges accept the GED as an equivalent to a high school diploma.
What is the GED test like?
The computer-based GED test has four subjects areas: mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts.
GED Readiness
Students who score high on the placement test are referred to GED test preparation activities and given the GED Practice Test to determine readiness to take the official GED.
